Forgiveness.

for·give·ness

  [fer-giv-nis]  Show IPA
noun
1.
act of forgiving state of being forgiven.
2.
disposition or willingness to forgive.

Forgiveness seems like a simple idea but it isn't.
I'd like to think that forgiveness will take away the hurt, resentment or anger but it doesn't.  It feels like forgiveness is one of those lies we tell ourselves to make it "ok". Forgiveness isn't a magic eraser that deletes the event from your mind.

I think about the people or things that I am mad at and ask myself:
What happens if I "forgive" them?  Will they do it again and think it's ok?
Will it change how I feel about the person or thing?
Will I be happy with myself if I forgive them?

Maybe forgiveness is just accepting whatever has happened,  maybe it's turning a blind eye or maybe it's just giving up... I don't know

Is it forgiveness for me to just concede in my mind that I am not going to let whatever or whoever it is bother me anymore and move on? I feel like saying "I forgive you" is like saying "whatever you did, no matter how bad, it is ok".

I guess in my mind letting go and forgiveness are not the same.

Everyone else is doing it? My personal beauty musts

I'm almost 32 and I consider my skin to be in pretty good condition!  I think we all know someone that is the same age as you and you think "WTF happened to them?".
With beauty as with anything, you get what you pay for.  You can't expect miracles for free!
I spent 3 years working part time at Sephora. So, I had time to learn about and indulge myself  in expensive products.

So here is my list of things that I consider my MUST HAVES and HAVE TO DOs or Don't:
(aside from the usually drink lots of water and don't smoke)

Do not for any reason put soap on your face!

Exfoliate your face!  I love this product for physically exfoliating and it's only about $20.
For chemical exfoliation I LOVE The Microdeliver from Philosphy! It's a little pricey but worth it!

Now that you've exfoliated...

SUNSCREEN! Don't waste your money on SPF anything over 20. Also, don't assume that your foundation's "sunscreen" is cutting it.
When I am going to be outside for any length of time and I can pull it off... I wear a hat!

NEXT LAYER... Cosmetics!
I love a lot of different brands but SmashBox (http://www.smashbox.com/) is by FAR my favorite!
I get it.. some people are MAC fans.. I'm not one of them.
When you are looking for makeup if it's cheap, it's going to look cheap.  Sure you can get away with things like cheap eye shadow and eyeliner but foundation is not something to skimp on... it will be written all over your face.

I am totally a believer in foundation primer!  It fills in the pores and all that other jazz so that your foundation sits on your face ... not in the cracks and such.  It also helps you use less foundation and it stays on a lot better!
Before you nearly die at the $50 price tag... It lasts a LONG time!

After the foundation... A good mascara is a must!
If you want to spend the money on something amazing!  Christian Dior, DiorShow Black Waterproof!
Yes, it's $25 but it is worth the money!

Another one I love that is not quite as expensive at $19 is Bad Gal Lash by Benefit :http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P49014&categoryId=B70

If you just can't afford one of those, I do have a drugstore one that I love and that is Mabelline Volum' Express Falsies Flared.

I pretty much only have one other thing that I can't live without, and that is my paraffin wax bath!
Your hands can really give away your age and no one likes creepy old lady hands.
It's simple to use.. Turn it on, wait, dip your hands/feet, wrap them in plastic and some oven mits... Then you hang out for a bit.
When you take off the wax, lotion up your hands and they are good to go!

I am not a professional, I'm not pretending to be and you don't have to listen to anything I say.
What I am saying is that these things work for me :D
